are neutrals more or less ?

When it comes to neutrals, I do tend to overstock. I know, but hear me out. There are cetain brands that just stick to the classics and their pieces just seem to be relevant year after year. Sure, sometimes the trendy stuff comes out and they risk it, but when it comes to the classics, some brands just seem to nail it every year. Enter me, like for example: that sweater and jeans are from JCREW a couple of years ago. Those New Balances are from at least five years ago - ok, those are not as relevant given the rise of lifestyle tennis shoes lately, but the color and the texture just go with the weather, LOL. No, really!

So, invest in dynamic pieces that you can wear in different occasions and still look and feel put-together. So, are neutrals more or less? I think they are both, They are more because they make you look more sophisticated WHILE they are less prints and more color blocks. Can you combine prints and neutrals? of course, but it all depends on the look you are after. Me? I walked into my closet this morning looking at neutrals, and a garment containing a print did not cross my mind. I was truly NeutralING today. It just felt right.

It could had been the orange/red nails that prompted that decision...i dont know, to be honest. So, here is a list of brands that "neutral" well in my opinion: JCREW, Madewell, Banana Republic, Karen Millen, All Saints (a bit on the expensive side), Veronica Beard (also on the expensie side), the iconic RL, White House Black Market, and even Old Navy and the GAP can give lots of options. More to come on all, as I will be adding links to make it easier on you.

Karina,

XOXOXO
