start here....

Skin care has been a priority of mine for a long time. I have dabbled with different brands, but lets face it: it is not cheap. These products just keep my skin clear, moisturized and protected, but consult your dermatologist before changing your current routine.

My skin is combination (oily and dry).

CLEANSING: For cleansing my skin after a long day, I use coconut oil (use any brand) - reason why is I always wear waterproof mascara and it is so hard to take off at night; only coconut oil will take off makeup smoothly from my skin and eye lashes. Once the coconut oil has done its magic, I take off the excess with a hot-water-damped face towel. Then, I wash my face with Cerave foaming cleanser. I have found it to be the most gentle and non abrasive for my skin.

TONING: Toning will remove residual dirt that cleansing alone did not remove, close your pores; and I just love the way my skin feels toned and refreshed. I have used all sorts of toners, but most strip my face of its own natural oils and they leave it way to dry. So, I have found the perfect toner is https://us.laneige.com/collections/korean-toner/products/water-bank-blue-hyaluronic-revitalizing-toner it tones my skin, and it hydrates with its hyaluronic acid. Use a cotton pad to apply.

MOISTURIZING: The one brand that I have repurchased several times is Tula - I love their "Hydrating Day Night Cream" https://www.tula.com/products/hydrating-day-night-cream - you can use this one during both times, which is what I love along with the fact that SPF is not in the cream (more on SPF below). I also add a couple of drops of Vitamin E https://www.target.com/p/de-la-cruz-vitamin-e-oil-2-2-fl-oz/-/A-52560293?region_id=786786&ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000049305059&CPNG=PLA_Health%2BShopping%7CHealth_Ecomm_Essentials&adgroup=SC_Health&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=c&location=9028226&targetid=pla-492728597508&ds_rl=1246978&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyKurBhD5ARIsALamXaGWvExvYvyEIMMinNOSSIqid2CX_Qvw3rDqkw4moXK_xHO1SdKl6qUaAjq9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds to my night routine - I feel like it locks in more moisture, especially at this time of year.

TREATMENT: I have not found an eye cream that I truly like, so I have been using the same Vitamin E around my eyes. On SPF - since my daily face cream does not have it, I use Tula's https://www.tula.com/products/daily-sunscreen-gel-broad-spectrum-spf-30 It does not stink, and it will give you a nice healthy glow.

My lips always get so dry after cleansing my skin at night, so I love absolutely love this lip oil for night time. It goes on super smoothly and it has THE most coconutee (is that a word?) smell. I only do this at night. In the morning, the makeup routine takes care of dry lips. https://koparibeauty.com/products/coconut-lip-glossy

The only thing that changes the above routine is the time of day. If morning I do not leave my home with out SPF, and makeup goes over SPF. At night, if before bed I skip SPF, and add lip oil. If going out at night, I skip SPF, and lip oil and apply makeup to clean skin. There are a tone of rules, I know - but all necessary.

Karina,

XOXOXO
